Article 7: Membership
7.1.1 Full Membership
Shall be open to all bona-fide registered undergraduate students of Jaramogi Oginga Odinga University of Science and Technology who sign the forms containing the following declaration.
Membership Declaration:
"In joining this Christian Union, I (NAME) decree by the grace of God to live a life consistent with scriptures. I am also determined to give active support to the Christian Union as it seeks to fulfill its aims and objectives. I also agree to uphold the doctrinal basis as outlined in Article 4 of this constitution."
7.1.2 Associate Membership
Shall be open to JOOUST alumni whose names shall be entered into the associate members register.
7.1.3 Special Membership
Shall be open to all postgraduate students and school based undergraduate students who subscribe to the provisions of Article 3 and Article 4 and by signing the declaration from Article 7, section 7.1 of this constitution.
7.1.4 Honorary Membership
Shall be open to Sunday school children and non-students who comprise born again individuals subscribe to the provision of Article 3 and Article 4.
7.2 Membership Fee
There shall be no membership fee.
7.3 Renewal of Membership
Members shall renew their membership every academic year by signing the form containing the declaration in Article 7, section 7.1.1.
7.4 Cessation of Membership
- In case of completion or termination of studies
- In case of termination of work (for special members)
- Written resignation to the union secretary
- When careful and judicious exercise of power conferred on the Executive Committee
- In case of death
